Vesper wood sculptures are inspired by natural forms and textures we enjoy everyday here in the beautiful Southwest. Exciting and dramatic forms that depict motion, flow and rhythmic texture and grain.
With wood as our medium, we interpret the essence of a rushing stream of water or wind blown sand canyons. In liquid flames of lava and molten glass. We also see it in a waving flag and in soft taffy being stretched and pulled in loops.
A work that most influenced my evolution as an artist is a sculpture by H.C. Westermann called The Big Change, a simple knot carved in laminated plywood.

From concept to production. Vesper works take shape with hand sketches, 3d modeling and design engineering.
