Kerry has been working with wood as an artist for 35 years. What started as a hobby while studying for a masters degree in Social Work in the 1970's, became a career in creating fine art in wood. While not having formal degree in art, he learned his skills by attending classes and workshops. He has worked and studied with other established artists and honed his skills through his own research and development. In the mid-80's he stopped salaried employment and began a full time career as an artist.
His work has been represented in galleries throughout the US. For decades he has exhibited and sold his work in fine art and fine craft shows such as the American Craft Council shows and The Philadelphia Museum Craft Show. Presently, he works almost entirely with private clients and creates commissioned work for designers, architects and art consultants.
Nick Rascona, Studio Manager, is an Arizona based Artist who graduated from ASU with a BFA in painting, and a minor in psychology. He has participated in over 35 exhibitions as a featured artist locally, nationally, and internationally.
In addition to being part of the team at Vesper Wood Sculpture, Nick creates sculptures and murals for private collectors and public spaces and corporate settings. Painter, sculptor, and muralist; Nick is dedicated to creating artworks, and conversations. He has produced work with an international street art organization, and lead workshops at the Phoenix Art Museum. He has Independently curated, installed, and promoted 21 art exhibitions and collaborated with guest curators. He created a 5 foot-tall interactive sculpture for the permanent collection at Salt River Project Hertiage Center.
Nick has extensive experience in both 2d and 3d processes including, drawing, painting, wood carving, metal fabrication, and 2d/3d digital design. He designs and produces sculptures out of wood and metal to meet dimensional requirements using a combination of 3d design with Rhinoceros 3D, milling and or plasma cutting services utilizing industrial CNC machines, as well as professional fabrication techniques.
